KYOKO NAGASAWA

'Ko-Na' presents a collection of handcrafted textural adornments. Kyoko Nagasawa's approach is to understand nature's artistic form, as well as, the inherent characteristics of the materials. Using original techniques from traditional textile design to create unique pieces. The work she produces inspires an intuition of the senses. And 'Ko-Na' realises a true affinity with the textiles she creates.

As well as running 'Ko-Na', she collaborates with European's leading knitwear yarn company 'Zegna Baruffa Lane Borgosesia' in Italy. She also designs for several independent European fashion designers.

After graduating from the textile design department, weaving faculty in 2002; TAMA Art University in Tokyo, Japan: She gained her MA in 'European Fashion and Textile Design' in 2005 at the University of Southampton, U.K, jointly with Winchester School of Art and Institute Francois de la Mode in Paris, France.
